The Manics

Oh Manics, what is there left to say? This band were inordinately important to my teenage years (and my early twenties), introducing me to so much in literature, films, art, politics and (of course) music. They not only entertained and inspired me but, I think, made me a better person. That’s not a half bad claim for a band, is it? Every teenager should experience the incandescent brilliance of having a band that means the world to them and entwines with your adolescence so intimately that, years later, you can’t be sure which aspects of your character you owe to them and which aspects of your character made you seek them out in the first place.

You know, like Pixie Lott.
